Star Chef Marcus Samuelsson

Bridging cultures and cuisines is natural to this critically acclaimed chef. Born in Ethiopia and orphaned at 3 years of age, he and his sister were adopted and raised in Sweden. Marcus spent countless hours in his grandmother’s kitchen, watching and learning from her. Later, Marcus enrolled in cooking school, going on to apprentice in France, Austria, and Switzerland. He soon became Executive Chef at Aquavit restaurant in New York City and is the youngest chef to receive a 3-star review from the New York Times. Today, Marcus Samuelsson is a premier chef, TV host, award-winning cookbook author and UNICEF ambassador.
